to end consumers. As global producers, these companies are often dubbed "hidden giants," with their products present wherever electricity, signals, or data flow. 

Across their diverse business divisions, new products are launched daily—ranging from automotive sensor technology and industrial contactless applications to 

terminals and ultra-miniature antennas for mobile devices—spanning sectors such as consumer electronics, transportation, energy, and industry on a global scale.

and challengeIn James’s view, the core of these market trends can be summed up in a single word: "connectivity"—whether it involves connections 

between vehicles, home appliances, security systems, or industrial equipment. However, the performance requirements for connectors are becoming increasingly stringent.

Future demands for connectors boil down to being faster, smaller, smarter, and more eco-friendly. Yet, different industry sectors have distinct priorities. 

James notes, for instance, that the automotive industry requires connectors to maintain high quality and reliability under harsh operating conditions. 

In contrast, the consumer electronics sector prioritizes thinness, lightness, and compactness above all else—with reliability ranking second, though the 

reliability standards differ significantly between the two sectors. Furthermore, the rapid pace of product innovation in consumer electronics drives two additional 

requirements: cost control and shortened R&D cycles.

Beyond technological evolution, the geographical distribution of connector manufacturing has shifted alongside changing market shares. In recent years, global production 

capacity has increasingly migrated to Asia, particularly China. Analysts view Asia as a region with immense growth potential for the connector market, with China poised to 

become a market characterized by both rapid growth and massive scale.

While connector suppliers previously focused primarily on leveraging China’s low production costs, they are now increasingly focused on how to effectively serve this emerging 

market. The solution is to transition from a model of "relying on Chinese manufacturing" to one of "enabling smart manufacturing for China."
